Over the past year, we’ve listened closely to our charity partners and reflected on our practices and on how we can ensure our funding is more impactful, equitable and responsive.
The result is a new chapter in our grant making. From January 2026 we will be moving to quarterly calls for applications, with two calls for each of our four main funding themes annually.
What’s changing
- There will now be a specific period during which you can apply for one of our funding themes.
- We are streamlining our application and reporting processes so grantees can spend more time doing the work that matters.
- On 10th December 2025, there will be an opportunity to join us online for FAQs session prior to the first application window.
- Our new framework places equity at the core of decision making. By assessing applications from charities delivering on the same theme together, we will have a wider view of emerging needs and will be able to make better informed decisions.
Our first window open for applications will be between 2nd and 9th January 2026 and we are inviting charities delivering projects that focus on the following:
- Care and support at end of life
- Living well with cancer
- Financial wellbeing
What we are offering:
- Small Grants up to a maximum of £20,000 for charities with an income under £1 million
- Major Grants up to a maximum of £60,000 (annually or multi-year) for charities with an income between £1 million and £7 million
Before applying you must have an introduction to the Charitable Foundation by a member of the St. James’s Place community. You must also be a UK registered charity and able to demonstrate lasting, evidence based impact.
