Over 100,000 people are currently living with a brain tumour in the UK, with approximately 45 people facing a brain tumour diagnosis every day.
Founded in 2003, Brain Tumour Support has been providing support for anyone affected by any type of brain tumour, right from diagnosis and for as long as help is needed. This support includes both one to one and group support, as well as access to specialist counselling, finance and benefit advisors and telephone support line. In addition to patients themselves, they also help families, carers and loved ones who are dealing day to day with the impact of a brain tumour.
We have supported Brain Tumour Support for over 7 years. In 2022 we awarded them a £10,000 grant towards the salary of a part time Brain Tumour Support Professional who will provide help to those effected across Cornwall in the UK.
The impact of the charities support has been felt close to home at SJP. In this video SJP adviser Liz Rolland shares how Brain Tumour Support helped her and her family in their time of need.
