We’re constantly working to make the St. James’s Place website as usable and accessible as possible for every user.

We have made every effort to ensure that this website meets or exceeds the relevant legal requirements. We believe that this website meets or exceeds the requirements of the level A criteria of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (WCAG WAI) 2.0 guidelines.

We want everyone to be able to use our site but understand that this is a work in progress. Here’s what you can expect when you visit:

  • Images include meaningful alternative text so screen reader users aren’t missing out.
  • Buttons, links, and form fields are clearly labelled for assistive technology.
  • Every page has a descriptive title and a valid language setting to support screen reader pronunciation.
  • You can use the site in portrait or landscape — we don’t lock page orientation.
  • We’re improving a few details: in a small number of places, link text is hard to spot within paragraphs, and some components use ARIA attributes that we’re tidying up.
  • We’re also checking colour contrast where text or links sit over images, and making keyboard focus more visible across the site.
