Covid continued to impact our world and in particular in overseas communities. With the support of the SJP community, we ran a special appeal to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee who provided frontline support to those most impacted.
£99,598 raised for India Covid crisis
In April 2021, a devastating wave of Covid-19 hit India. The country was reporting hundreds of thousands of new cases every day and the death toll began to rise sharply. In response to the crisis, the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) launched an appeal to get life-saving medical supplies, PPE and logistics support to the areas that were hit hardest.
Our community raised a total of £99,598, with company matching, from the emergency appeal in support of the DEC.
