The Foundation’s 2024 grant to the Fair Shot Café in Covent Garden has helped the charity to break down employment barriers by enabling students with learning disabilities to train in the hospitality sector.
Interns at their central London café serve-up a seasonal menu as well as a signature coffee blend. They acquire hospitality skills from day one, learning alongside a skills coach for 12 months.
Founder & CEO, Bianca Tavella said:
“We are so proud and grateful to have the support of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation. For our small, grassroots charity, their funds enable us to do what we set out to do: secure sustainable jobs for our graduates enabling them to reach their full potential and transform their lives, as they deserve. Thank you for vital funding and helping us build legitimacy and awareness we need to continue making a lasting impact.”
