Make 2nds Count is a UK charity supporting people with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer.
It offers trusted information, emotional and practical support, wellbeing activities, and opportunities to connect with others. Education is central to its work, helping people understand their diagnosis, treatment options, research, and clinical trials, while raising awareness nationwide.
In 2025, funding contributed to its education and digital programme, improving and expanding online resources, tailoring content for different audiences, and boosting awareness during key campaigns.
This had a strong impact. Website visits rose significantly, and social media reached more than one million people. More patients reported feeling informed and connected, and the charity is now recognised as a trusted voice in national and international discussions.

Mandy, diagnosed in 2021, found support through the charity’s groups, retreats, and resources:
“For the first time since my diagnosis I felt supported, less alone and less fearful of the future.”
