The SJP Charitable Foundation has awarded Onside a £1m grant to support the build of two state-of-the-art youth zones, one in Grimsby and a second in Warrington.
Onside aims to empower young people to lead positive, fulfilling lives by providing access to incredible spaces and excellent youth work, delivered by outstanding people, where they are needed the most. Including the Grimsby and Warrington youth zones, Onside will have a network of 16 hubs for young people around the country.
All of Onside’s youth zones are purpose-built spaces crammed with incredible facilities. They provide local young people aged between eight and 19, or up to 25 with a disability, affordable access to high-quality sports, arts and leisure facilities and activities, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. They are staffed by skilled and dedicated youth workers who truly believe in young people – helping them see what they could achieve, and giving them the skills, confidence and ambition to go for it.
