Shine PND Support provides creative therapy courses and welcoming drop in playgroups for mothers experiencing perinatal depression, anxiety, isolation or overwhelm across Gloucestershire.

Their services offer safe, supportive spaces where mums can share experiences, build confidence and improve wellbeing while their babies are left in safe, qualified hands at the on-site creche.

A multi-year grant has enabled Shine to expand and strengthen its support. Funding has helped deliver a 12‑week creative therapy course with experienced facilitators, combining mindfulness-based craft activities with peer support, alongside drop‑in sessions, outdoor activities, online peer groups, and a six‑week online nutrition and movement course. Together, these services support both emotional and physical wellbeing and reduce isolation.

The impact of the funding has been tangible, dramatically improving the wellbeing of the mums who attended, supporting their recovery and ability to bond with and support their babies. The community that is created during the course continues through their online group network and weekly drop-in playgroups, providing ongoing support whenever it is needed.

“Shine is amazing. It has been a lifeline to me in a dark time”
