Strathcarron believe Hospice care is not about dying but living your life well.

The local Hospice charity cares for people with a wide range of life-limiting conditions, including cancer, respiratory and heart diseases, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, and dementia. They are committed to providing the highest standards of specialist and expert end of life care for people living with or affected by life-limiting illness, wherever it’s needed most - in their own homes, in hospitals, care homes and in their hospice in Denny.

The Foundation’s major grant continued its impact in 2024, funding a Band 3 Health Care Assistant’s salary in the Hospice@Home service over 3 years.

St. James’s Place Partner, Julie Hannon has supported the hospice on an ongoing basis, from volunteering to fundraising, she says “It’s such a friendly environment, the ladies on Reception are so welcoming and then when you go around the hospice you can see the passion, how much the staff all care. The amount of money they need to raise, like any charity is incredible and the support from the Foundation has massively helped with that.”
