An SJP volunteering day in 2024 added further value to two important children’s causes: Foundation-funded dance charity, Flamingo Chicks and Charlton Farm Hospice.
The team spent a day clearing and replanting the grounds of the children’s hospice in partnership with Flamingo Chicks. Charlton Farm Hospice is one of the venues at which the charity provides dance lessons to disabled children and those with illnesses such as cancer, giving them the opportunity to enjoy dance and explore movement.
Bethan Guest, Head of Community at Flamingo Chicks told us:
"We are so grateful to the amazing volunteers at SJP (Bristol and Cirencester) for your incredible support of Flamingo Chicks and Charlton Farm Hospice!
Your hard work planting beautiful flowers has added vibrant colour to the hospice grounds, and gathering nine bags of weeds has made such a difference around the children's play area. The Grounds team said it would take them a month to achieve what you did in a day!
Your dedication and effort are truly appreciated, and we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for making our community a brighter, more beautiful place!"
