PiP works together with adults with learning disabilities and differences to achieve their ambitions, gain skills and opportunities for independence and live a life of their choice.

Further value was added to the Foundation’s 2024 grant when a team from SJP volunteered their time to the London-based charity.

The volunteering day was part of their Seedlings social enterprise, focused on gardening and providing paid work experience for students. The SJP volunteers helped rejuvenate a community garden along the canal towpath behind PiP’s Kensal Road centre. The garden enables PiP to give their students work experience to help learn skills for employment.

Jack Taylor, Head of Development & Engagement at PiP told us "Your work yesterday was more than my students can do in a whole term. We can now plan a curriculum for the term where they develop a wide range of skills and to build their confidence.”
